What Im about to explain to you are defining, the results of splurge drink and why people do it. Binge imbibing is defined as men drinking five or more drinks in a row and for women drinking quartet or more drinks in a row. This has recently plow a great past time for college students all everyplace the world and a big concern on more campuses.
A survey by the students at Yale University in 1977 showed that an fair binge drinker is white; they lack religious participation, universe an athlete, and are members of fraternities or sororities. To the popular belief, during the school year, it was not a significant factor in binge drinking. Even though that students under 21 will participate in drinking activities. umteen studies show that binge drinking can blend in high school and carry on throughout college. Twenty-eight percent of high school seniors generate already associated with binge drinking.
It seems to me that the question is why students continue to submit themselves to alcohol. Many reasons are given, they fall into three categories.
Peer pressure is single of the main reasons that students feel they need to binge drink. They continue to do it because their friends do it and they would want to fit in better. Insecurity is other reason as to why students binge drink. Many peoples college flavor can be very stressful, and dinking can sometimes thrust up for it. Students also binge drink to help sack their problems in life. They turn to it because they can hide their feelings and numb their pain.
