Knowledge is a very valuable part to the humans society. It is important for us as the element of the society to culture familiarity within our soul and opinion in vagabond to develop our society. Knowledge as jibe to Syed Naquib Al-Attas is a process of instilling something into human beings. In separate words, knowledge is non something that should be treated easily because as according to Syed Naquib Al-Attas, knowledge is not only skills but overly moral values that must be implemented among the human beings.
On the other hand, the West believes that knowledge is some demeanor of information, facts, descriptions, or skills acquired through experience orÂ didactics. It can in addition refer to the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. The West point of view on knowledge and education are quite different from the Islamic point of view.
This is shown as the West believe knowledge is only about skills and not involving moral values. This is contradict with the Islamic views as mentioned before by Syed Naquib Al-Attas that according to Islam, knowledge is something involving skills and also moral values.
Knowledge as according to Al-Ghazali is something that must be acquired and instill from the childhood. The instillation of knowledge must be continuously from the childhood until death. The problem straight off is that there are many problems facing in consecrate to acquired knowledge that are in line with Islam.
